*  In 1922 Nakhchivan City Library was established by the People’s Commissariat of Enlightenment.

*  In 1930 in the base of the Library was created the Library of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

*  In 1953 Library of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic has been named by the founder of historical novel genre in Azerbaijan literature and a great writer Mammad Said Ordubadi.

*  The Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic signed a resolution “about the 90th anniversary of the Library of Nakhchivan A utonomous Republic named after M.S.Ordubadi”on 19 April 2012.
